Many of you will know Adrienne Shelly as the writer, director and one of the stars of the film Waitress which also featured Nathan Fillion. What you may not know is that in 2006 Adrienne Shelly was tragically murdered. The Adrienne Shelly Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated in loving memory to Adrienne. The purpose of the foundation is to help young women pursue their filmmaking dreams, and to assist others in making the same leap from acting to writing and directing as Adrienne had done so successfully.
